I am a beginner and eager to learn German. Could anybody advise me any decent website?

Deutsche Welle seems to have something fairly comprehensive, there is text and audio: ... nen/s-9609

I had a quick look at duolingo, that seems like it could be fun:

Also Babbel seems to have a good reputation - I didn't register myself, but you could do that and have a look at the first lesson: ... 's-courses
