This is all I've seen of the attacker so far.

The suspect connected to a homcide on a Greyhound bus briefly sits in the driver's seat of the bus while police try to talk to him last night. The investigation into the stabbing and decapitation of a passenger on the bus continues this morning.

Was Canada in shock from all those feet washing up on the shore?

hahahahahaha

His name is
Vince Weiguang Li

Dear Canadians,

I'm sorry for this terrible tragedy, but, those of you who teach adult conversational classes, please report in full in Monday about how discussing it in class went with your students.

Have fun out tonight discussing it with the locals.

Peace on Earth,

Trebuchet.

Yeah, it seems that the attacker is Chinese. A native born Canadian or mainlander? Haven't read anything yet.

RCMP charged a man Friday with second-degree murder in connection with a horrific stabbing and beheading that took place on a Greyhound bus.

Vince Weiguang Li, 40, of Edmonton is scheduled to make a first appearance in court Friday morning in Portage la Prairie.

Oh good, he's not white. That means the CBC et al can't blame the systemic racism of mainstream (read white) Canadian society. It's probably all America's doing anyway, damn you George Bush! :fume:

Tomfoolery aside re: Race card and culture clashes.... :roll:
Based on the following:
672.11 A court having jurisdiction over an accused in respect of an offence may order an assessment of the mental condition of the accused, if it has reasonable grounds to believe that such evidence is necessary to determine

(a) whether the accused is unfit to stand trial;

(b) whether the accused was, at the time of the commission of the alleged offence, suffering from a mental disorder so as to be exempt from criminal responsibility by virtue of subsection 16(1);

The Canadian Pansy/ Criminal Code will let this bozo out after "serving his debt to society."

amazing...he even tried to "escape" because he didn't know that what he did was a No no....lol

He's "exempt" of criminal responsibility..??? :loco:

Demographics may be of concern here, but not in the way people are thinking. In the prairies, we've mostly just got native folk and white folk. And it would definitely be a disaster if it turned out that the killer was a native guy. Saskatchewan and Manitoba face having the native race as the majority race in the next few years, but the races are still largely segregated from one another there. High profile crime by someone of the native community would really cause a stir in the wrong way.
