I'll be visiting Taiwan later this month. My brother's wife is from the country and I'm very glad to have been invited for a little trip by her and her relatives. Now, I'm very much looking forward to my trip, but I have a little question that neither my brother nor his wife could fully answer so far, as both of them haven't been regular residents of Taiwan in recent years:
I smoke electronic cigarettes, and would of course like to take some of my stuff with me on my trip. The question is if this is going to be a problem. If what I've read is correct, the sale of electronic cigarettes and related products is forbidden in Taiwan. I could not, however, find any information concerning the import and use (only for personal use as part of a trip) of such products.
So, does anybody happen to know if I can safely take some of my e-cig stuff with me on my trip to Taiwan? Or is that going to get my into trouble? Furthermore, what about using such products? Can I safely do that in public places, or is that going to earn me strange looks from people or even serious trouble?
Any hints would be highly appreciated, and I already thank you all very much in advance!
Kind greetings from Germany
