As many of you know, I am a travel writer (I do the Lonely Planet Taiwan guide, for example), and you may have recently heard the podcast I did with Taiwan Temples.
Well now I have my own travel-themed podcast to announce: it’s called Travel Tape
.https://itunes.apple.com/ca/podcast/tra ... 72513?mt=2http://www.stitcher.com/podcast/robert- ... refid=stpr
Here’s the summary:
“From Lonely Planet writer Robert Kelly comes Travel Tape: stories from the other side of the travel guide. Deeply researched content and crafted soundscapes bring to life a full pack of tales, histories, legends, interviews and curiosities from around our world.”
In other words, this is not your typical Q&A interview-style show.
My first two episodes cover another Lonely Planet author’s “Walking with the Maasai” project, and also the borderlands of China. The Maasai podcast has some gorgeous audio recorded in Kenya, and some outstanding interviews including one with Moses Kinyaika, a former poacher (and accidental cannibal) turned conservationist.
Many of the upcoming shows will have Asian, and even Taiwan, themes.
I hope everyone will go have a listen but I am also asking you to help spread the word on your social media networks. If you do just one of the following I will be very grateful: tweet, share on Facebook or Google+, email to a friend, post on a blog, or listen to the show and leave a review. It’s up to you which you think might be more useful, or which you think you have time for.
To make it easy you can just copy and paste the following:Twitter:
