Shipping personal items as a tourist?

Postby monokuro » 24 Jul 2016, 06:09

Had a little search, but couldn't find anyone whose done this as a tourist before.

I'm in the UK now and just got my dj mixer out the loft to bring over, however it doesn't fit on the plane back (whoops!)

I was therefore thinking of posting it to myself, but I'm worried about getting hit with import taxes. I've looked at the websites that say personal effects are ok within x months and by providing documents and your arc number, however on a tourist visa I of course don't have this.

Anyone have any experience doing this? I've had small stuff sent over before, but nothing this expensive (75,000nt)
